Update, and such…

Todays update:

  • Thank you for your prayers! My handsome man is back at work for a full day today. Our weekend involved socialization with physiatrists and chiropractors. Apparently the joints between Vertebrae C2 and C3 (Or C3 and C4 – the specialists don’t agree) conflicted in such a way that caused immediate inflammation and musclular stiffening. Consequently, my dear one waged the war with extreme pain for several days.

Today’s Highlights:

  • I stayed in bed all morning, and am now feeling like I finally begin to see the hike to recovery. My Red Lychee blend (more alluring because of the cool tin I store it in…Thank you Lauren)  helps energize me for my lessons today.
  • My Husband got shocked from our faulty space heater in the living room.
  • Our neighbor saw Nate in his underwear when all three of our fire alarms went off at 5:02 this morning, thanks to electrical issues in the said space heater.

Todays Goals:

  • Teach my piano lessons well.
  • Do my toenails.
  • By Nate a bathrobe.

Woman Shoots Small Dog when Barks Annoy Convalescing Husband…

This morning, as I sit here drinking my tea and typing away, my strong, athletic, 24-year -old husband lies abed, basically debilitated by a pop in his neck this morning. He has illustrated an unbelievable high pain tolerance throughout his life, and finding him on the bathroom floor in the fetal position at 6:20 this morning had the effect on me that you would imagine.

I have been in contact with doctors (considering his muscoskeletal history) all morning, and am about to help take him to one.  This has been a little topsy-turvy, for our marriage contains history of me being sick (which I am) and him taking care of me.

It is when even minor things like this occur that I realize the powerful bedrock that my God and Savior is. I am thankful to be reminded of His Sovereignty, though perhaps less thankful to be reminded of my inability. Please pray for Nate. Thanks.
